With a tan cord makio and kakio at the top and maroon jikusaki at the bottom. The outer scroll covering repeats that of the mounting. Circa Republic of China era.

A finely drawn and detailed pair of Chinese red-crowned cranes are foraging on the rocky banks of a small, mountain brook, below a gnarled, flowering plum tree and pine, amid bamboo, flowering bushes, grasses and shrubs. A distant mountain peak fades into the mists at the upper right. See less
