Albert Guillaume-one of the most celebrated humorists of the Belle Époque-illustrated this energetic advertisement for Armour & Co.'s Extrait de Viande, featuring a self-satisfied strongman proudly endorsing the product's strength and purity.
The design was selected for publication in Les Maîtres de l'Affiche ("The Masters of the Poster"), the prestigious monthly portfolio (1895-1900) that reproduced the era's most significant posters in reduced format.
Printed by Imprimerie Chaix, official printer of the series, and issued as Plate No. 163 in 1899.
Piece includes a packet that contains provenance and a COA.
