Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. A sofa THIS DYNAMIC must be DREXEL!!! Well, of course it is!!!! This is a FANTASTIC 5 piece modular sectional sofa from the Contemporary Classics line by Drexel Heritage composed of 3 corner pieces & 2 armless straight pieces with levelers bearing loose, zippered poly/foam filled seat cushions, a total of 13 individual loose throw pillow style back, removeable arm covers, and the sofa is fully upholstered wearing its original “terracotta-ish” fabric w/cream backing lathered with colors of peach, teal, and & ivory… We were joking here at the shop that this fabric is SO out of style that it’s literally… BACK IN!!! LOL!!! It is in lovely condition, but it does give the sofa more of that Floridian, Coastal, or California Modern flair so if you wanted to reupholster this beauty… you would change the look ENTIRELY!!! It features broad arms, deep seats with ample, COMFY cushions, and plenty of pillows to adjust into your perfect position! And talk about versatility OVERLOAD!!! It is VERY modular and ULTRA versatile. It can be arranged in an L shape, a chair & a long sofa, and many other configurations. We have photographed it in a couple of different setups ideal for a fantastic seating situation in your living or family room, sitting area, or maybe your entertainment room. Drexel Furniture Company was founded in 1903 in Drexel, North Carolina by six businessmen for a total investment of $14,000.00. Sam Huffman, one of the initial founders, managed the enterprise until his death in 1935 when his son, Robert O. Huffman took the helm. By 1950, under the younger Huffman’s leadership Drexel had grown from a small factory to a leader in furniture manufacturing. They acquired other furniture companies along the way and by the late 1950s employed 2300 workers. The 1960s had them adding industrial and hospitality furniture to their lines. In 1968 they were purchased, and Drexel Enterprises became Drexel Heritage Furnishings, Inc. They continued to add to their styles and lines and were sold again and then in 1986 became part of Masco Corporation, one of the country’s largest furniture manufacturers. They are now based in High Point, NC and operate ten factories in North Carolina and one in South Carolina and are one of the leading furniture manufacturers in the world.
