A magnificent clear blown glass sculpture, with aventurine inclusions of gold leaf, depicting a swan. It is unsigned and can be attributed, based on the type of workmanship and the subject depicted, to the Archimede Seguso glassworks. It dates to the late 20th century, between 1970 and 1980.
Information on the artist and/or manufacturer:
Archimede Seguso (Murano, December 17, 1909 – Murano, September 6, 1999) was an Italian entrepreneur and master glassmaker. Considered "a living encyclopedia of glass" (as Giuseppe Cappa described him in his book "Le Genie Verrier de L’Europe"), he was one of the most renowned Venetian glassmakers, particularly distinguished in the crafting of heavy glass (known as massello). He boasts numerous auction results and thousands of collectors. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
