This is a set of two large, hand-painted ceramic plates from the renowned Porches Pottery studio, located in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. Both plates were crafted and painted in the 1980s, and are individually signed and dated on the reverse.

Porches Pottery was founded in 1968 with the mission to preserve and revive traditional Portuguese ceramic techniques. These pieces showcase the characteristic Majolica painting style of the atelier — with vibrant, freehand motifs applied directly onto a white glazed surface.

The first plate (47 cm) features two seated musicians with wine, rendered in stylized blue tones. The second (40 cm) depicts a rabbit encircled by floral patterns in blue, green, and violet. Both plates are highly decorative and function beautifully as wall-mounted objects or table centerpieces.
