A fabulous pair of large Art Nouveau vases, dating back to the late 19th century. Made of cast ceramic (ceramic with added kaolin, also known as soft porcelain), they are entirely hand-decorated with the highest quality decorations. These two true porcelain paintings rival any Pre-Raphaelite oil on canvas. They depict two women with flowers and a landscape on one side and flowers on the other. Both are hand-signed by the artist "Barbe." Unfortunately, we were unable to find any further information on the artist. They are embellished with two finely crafted handles covered in pure gold. The base features striking relief decorations. They are numbered under the base with a raised number. In excellent condition and excellent size, the pair is very large. The patina covering the objects is good, consistent with our dating. Based on the type of porcelain and the glaze, we tend to attribute this pair of vases to the English Royal Worcester factory. This piece has an attribution mark,
