A magnificent perfume bottle, made of polychrome hard-paste porcelain, entirely hand-decorated and finished with pure gold trim, depicting a Chinese nobleman seated on a cushion, whose head forms the stopper of the perfume bottle. Numbered under the base and dated to the first half of the 19th century. Made in France and attributed to the renowned French artist Jacob Petit. The patina covering the object is clearly visible, especially under the base. On the inside of the stopper and the mouth of the bottle, we find a hard, encrusted dirt from the many years that have passed, which is believed to be the hardened residue of the perfume that once filled the bottle.
This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
