Subject and Style: The work depicts a standing lion, captured in the act of roaring, with its jaws open and tail raised, a symbol of strength and royalty. The sculpture stands out for its expressiveness and distinctive color palette: the body is rendered with a light glaze (white/ivory) featuring a "sponged" or crackled texture that simulates a fur coat, while the thick mane and tail details are highlighted with a dark glaze (midnight blue or deep black) for a strong contrast. The animal stands on a naturalistic green base that simulates grassy terrain.
