This elegantly tapered vase dates from the 1950s and was designed by the renowned Swedish ceramicist Berndt Friberg for Gustavsberg. Typical of Friberg's work are the minimalist, perfectly proportioned forms and the handcrafted, silky glazes with their smooth, flowing finish.
This particular vase features a honey-colored to yellowish-brown flowing glaze that shimmers depending on the light. The surface has a silky matte to glossy sheen, beautifully highlighting the vase's form.
The piece is signed on the underside, as is customary for Friberg's work. This piece has an attribution mark,
