The frame is crafted from solid cherrywood and retains its original Viennese cane seat and backrest. The flared rear legs sweep upward into elegantly pointed armrests, creating a distinctive angular profile that highlights Schlegel’s sculptural approach to form. Thoughtful construction details—including stretcher supports and a reinforced back section—add both stability and visual appeal.
The chair comes with a newly made custom cushion upholstered in luxurious ivory Lelièvre Paris bouclé, offering a soft, textured contrast to the warm cherrywood and natural cane. It is in good, restored condition with a renewed cushion.
The wood shows minor wear consistent with age and use, and the cane has developed a natural patina. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
