This print originally appeared in a French magazine that dates to 1931. It is a prime example of Brandt’s genius. Brandt forged the emerging technology of the machine age into artistic form, aligned art with industrial methods and created a wealth of objets d’art. He became one of the leading decorative artists in France who did private commissioned work as well as large scale public buildings and monuments. He designed gateways, grills, lamp bases, consoles, screens, etc. Today his works have significant historical importance. His works are shown in leading museums and galleries throughout the world and are highly collectible even if found on the open market. This 10 x 13 inch image reflects the geometric beauty and design of Brandt’s creations. The flying crane design is iconic to the Art Deco period. This print is rare as it is large for an advertisement print; it is in pristine condition. It comes matted in a 16 x 20 inch neutral tone custom mat ready for a standard size frame. Please allow time for custom matting. See companion Edgar Brandt image in our shop. See less
