The baluster-form stand is carved in deep relief and finished in gilt over gesso, with scrolling foliate details and a cross finial. The glass-front compartment displays the red-lined interior and a handwritten identification tag that appears to read “St. Thomas.”

Most unusually, the relic remains completely intact and unopened—the waxed cord, paper seals, and rear access panel show no signs of disturbance, indicating the reliquary has been preserved in its devotional state for centuries. The piece retains traces of original gilding, soft patina, and age-worn surface texture consistent with long veneration and handling in a church or private chapel.
