Ink on paper mounted on an ornate, floral lattice, pattern brocade in gold and grey silk for the nakamawashi, ten and ji, with a gold and white, floral silk, brocade ichimonji, black jikusaki, flat braided, black and dark blue silk makio. Aromatic wood kakemono box included. Circa early 20th century no later than mid century.

A loosely painted scene of two figures pausing on a riverbank amid ascending massifs, dotted with pines and bushes, with flowering plum trees in the foreground and upper background, and further on, a mountain hermitage..
