A pair of Barbara Barry-designed Art Deco style lounge chairs for Baker Furniture Company. Exquisite detailing including fluted arm rests, sloped sides, tapered front legs and a subtle two-tone trim detail along the base of the chair.
The original sand-tone boucle-style textured upholstery is in very good condition, making the chairs ready for immediate use, though they could also be re-imagined in a new textile if desired.
We love the grand details, yet executed in a smaller scale, which truly reinforces the early 20th C. feel. They would be lovely in a Park Avenue living room or a Bellaire bedroom. The scale is completely adaptable to the given design situation.
Both chairs maintain the Baker tags underneath the seats as well as the fabric content tags.
