Featuring auspicious court imagery including a tiger and a crane amid clouds, waves, and floral motifs, these embroideries were historically worn by high-ranking officials of the Imperial court and signified status, authority, and longevity.

Executed in fine hand-embroidered silk with exceptional detail and color graduation, the panels date to the late 19th century. The embroidery remains in excellent condition for age, with strong color saturation and intact stitching throughout. The pillows are trimmed with silk tassels and decorative borders; the backing treatments are later and reversible if desired.
