Originally conceived as a working or serving table, its generous scale and pared-down architecture give it a timeless presence that translates beautifully into modern interiors. Crafted from solid walnut throughout, the table features a long plank top with softly worn edges, four functional drawers across the apron, and paneled ends and back, allowing it to sit freely in a room rather than against a wall. One drawer retains its original escutcheon and key, while the others are fitted with period-appropriate brass pulls. The lower shelf adds both visual weight and useful storage, reinforcing the piece’s utilitarian origins. The table has been structurally restored by our in-house team, ensuring stability and longevity for everyday use. The wood has been carefully polished to revive the walnut’s natural warmth while preserving the authentic patina, surface wear, and subtle marks acquired over generations of use. These details speak to the table’s age and history rather than detract from it.
