The rectangular seat with gently rounded edges is mounted on slightly spaced cylindrical legs. The surfaces have a rough, matte texture and a distinct grain pattern, and the whole piece is finished in a deep, dark brown with numerous discolorations and a natural patina. Characteristic are the remnants of mint-green paint on the apron and legs, which have been partially worn away, exposing the wood and revealing traces of handiwork. Visible scuffs, small cracks, and color differences are evidence of long-term use and handcraftsmanship. The form of the stool is reminiscent of everyday life rooted in local tradition. The raw finish and irregularities in the texture evoke images of northern landscapes and long, bright days spent in the company of natural materials. The contrast between the brown of the wood and the pastel green brings the tranquility of a rural interior, while the subtle signs of wear tell a story written in every scratch and discoloration. The stool works well as a seat in the hallway, a base for plants, and an alternative to a classic side table. It can be combined with textiles made of linen, raw cotton, or wool, as well as unpolished ceramics and light wood. An interior decorated in white, gray, or muted pastels will highlight the rustic character of the furniture. It is worth combining it with simple forms and natural fabrics to emphasize its authentic northern provenance. See less
