It is a writing cabinet, often with a fold-down front flap that serves as a writing table. Inside are often many small drawers and compartments. This example dates from ca. 1700. It is in exceptionally beautiful and pure condition. Almost entirely original. Only here and there some minor wood restorations. Very nice original back panel. Furniture is made of solid walnut. Beautiful patina and color. Furniture stands on a later (mid 20th century) custom-made metal base. Dimensions: w127.5 x d45 x h161 See less
