Depression‑era or early mid‑century, in a deep emerald/forest green pattern in the classic Daisy and Button motif, repeated across the body and base with a ruffled rim and flared foot, characteristic of mass‑produced decorative glass from the 1920s–1950s. This pattern actually began to be made about 1900 and they kept making it until about 1970. It was a part of the Early American Pattern Glass movement. But this piece fluoresces strongly purple under UV light - manganese - not uranium. Due to the way they used it, in the pre-1930s the purple glow would be intense. 1930s-1940s the glow would be moderate. After the 1950s you rarely find manganese in glass. That also means that this would not be a modern reproduction. This piece was possibly made in the 1920s or 1930s.In the early 1930s most U.S. glassmakers switched to selenium, arsenic or antimony, so this piece almost certainly predates that shift. Furthermore, this is not the pale “Depression green.” It’s a richer, darker green that companies like Indiana Glass and L.E. Smith used in the 1920s–1930s before their mid‑century color palettes changed. See less
