Floral still life mixed media embossed monoprint and painting by Hawaii based artist Margaret Bedell (1924-2016) "Forget Ne Nots IV" pencil signed, dated 1989 and editioned as HC III or "Hors Commerce" similar to an artist proof, but reserved for promoting the piece to the trade and therefore considered by the artist to be the best example of her work.
The artist worked on thick heavy damp paper which she applied flowers, leaves and stems which she painted and then monoprinted on top of. Being wet, the heavy paper held its shape after printing, giving it deep embossed shapes.
