The microphone is mounted on its original adjustable metal yoke and stepped pedestal base, allowing the head to tilt and lock into position for studio use. The construction reflects the transitional period of early American radio, when wood-bodied microphones were common before widespread adoption of all-metal housings. The warm brown painted finish, perforated face panels, and utilitarian hardware give the piece a distinctly prewar, purpose-built studio presence. A period cord terminates in a 1/4” plug, consistent with early broadcast and amplifier connections.

WACW was an early Milwaukee radio station active during the formative years of American broadcasting, when many stations relied on custom-built or regionally produced equipment prior to industry standardization.
