Pair of postmodern ceramic table lamps from the 1980s. They feature fluted ceramic bases with a dense, sculptural form, finished in a dark neutral glaze .Each lamp is fitted with a red pleated fabric shade from the same period. The contrast between the heavy ceramic bases and structured shades reflects late twentieth century postmodern lighting design, with references to Memphis era aesthetics.
