This handcrafted stoneware pitcher by Edgecombe Potters features a bold molten drip glaze with strong movement and texture. The deep magenta glaze is heavily layered toward the lower portion of the form, creating thick, pooled drips, while the upper area transitions into dark black and bronze tones with a subtle iridescent quality. Hints of green and purple emerge through the glaze, giving the surface depth and variation.
Wheel-thrown with a sturdy handle and balanced proportions, the pitcher has a sculptural presence and works equally well as a functional serving piece or as a decorative accent.
Signed on the underside and made in Maine. The glaze style and form are consistent with Edgecombe Potters work from the late 1990s to early 2000s.
Measurements: approximately 7 inches high, 6 1/2 inches wide to the outer edge of the handle, and 4 1/2 inches deep.
