A finely crafted Austro Hungarian Empire Style sofa dating from mid 19th century (part of 3 pieces, 2are 1 seat sofa(please see other listing) plus this 2 seat sofa or loveseat).
The frame is carved from solid hardwood probably walnut feautring hand painted gilt decoration along the front apron and side scrolls motifs typical of Viennese workshops of the period.
