This antique Chinese altar table is circa the early 19th century. The intricate carvings of traditional Chinese design of dragons and scrolls decorate the front and back spandrels of the table. The side panels of the table are intricately carved with auspicious design of "clouds and scrolls" design motif. The table can be displayed from both sides. The top of the table is crafted with a single plank of wood (seamless) more than two inches thick. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and a tenon structure. This is very solid table with great details of handwork. Made from core of elm wood with beautiful natural wood grain. the table has been kept in excellent condition. Original patina and wear.
