Beautiful Pair of Neoclassical Angels by Facsimilies, LTD. They are designed to resemble medieval-style architectural elements, specifically column statues. One angel is depicted holding a tambourine, while the other plays a trumpet or horn. Please note a small chip in the chalkware at the BACK of one of the figures, not noticeable from the front.
Plaster castings of Angel with Cymbals and Angel with Lyre.
This pair of Wall Decor looks great flanking a door.
There are notches on the back for hanging.

Facsimilies, Ltd., was principally founded in 1983 by artist Joan Terrell Smith to reproduce sculptural reliefs of museum pieces, architectural details, metalwork and ancient stone tablets. Molds were hand crafted and various gypsum cement formulations (called "hydrostone" in the trade today) were used to create these historically accurate art objects. Finishes were applied post production.
