This original etching and aquatint titled February is by Japanese artist Shigeki Kuroda, known for his atmospheric, poetic printmaking that blends abstraction with landscape-inspired imagery.
The composition features layered tonal fields, subtle color transitions, and geometric forms that evoke seasonal stillness and quiet movement. Kuroda’s refined use of aquatint creates depth and texture, while etched linework adds structure and rhythm across the surface.
The work is pencil signed by the artist and hand numbered 48/100. Presented in a neutral mat and simple frame, this piece is ready for display and works well in both modern and contemplative interiors.
A thoughtful example of late 20th century Japanese printmaking, ideal for collectors of contemporary works on paper and minimalist aesthetics.
