Truly lovely 19th C. European School Drawing on Paper in its original gallery presentation.
Gorgeous detail and soft color-way in the drawing, of a tranquil English or European river / landscape scene with a single walking figure.
And the frame / mat combination is equally well-executed - likely original to the piece, hand lined with ink and gold leaf detailing, in a dark wood / gilt molding that will elevate any space and the pieces around it.
13.5" wide by 11.5" tall by 1.5" deep.

Perfect patina on the gilt surfaces, light aging to the entire piece - which makes it magnificent!

Well, when we saw this one, we stopped in our tracks. It's special - in its simplicity, elegance, soft, gentle colors, detail and wonderful framing.
