An exceptional piece of authentic mid-century art glass. This heavy, hand-blown vase features a unique, modernist sculptural aesthetic. The clear moss green body is encased with two thick, undulating bands of opaque green glass, creating a striking visual swirl pattern. This would be an excellent addition to any collector’s art glass collection or fit in well aesthetically with any mid century or vintage style home.
There are no markings or labels, however, others have identified this piece as a "Sasso" vase designed by the renowned Luciano Gaspari during his time as art director for the prestigious glassmaker Salviati & C. on the island of Murano.
