Here are a pair of wonderful mid century candlesticks. Been in my family for many years. Both are in excellent vintage condition.
4-3/4" tall
2.75" diameter
The molds were made out of sculptures created by the companies head designer Frank Ferrell, a native of Zanesville. The pieces were hand decorated with the beautiful green, cream and lilac colors then covered with a durable matt glaze before being fired in the Kiln. The paint and the glaze were developed by the companie's ceramic engineer George Krause.
The Roseville Pottery Co. operated from 1890 until 1953. It was one of three Pottery manufacturers in Ohio at the turn of the 20th century.
