They are hand-blown and wrapped in metal with internal cut-outs, also known as imprisoned or caged glass. The rims are smooth, thick and fairly uniform. There are slight variations in size and overall thickness as expected in hand-blown glass, and variation in the metal cut-outs. The metal jackets are seamed in the back and have a beautiful variation in patina. These glasses are a great example of Mexican brutalist modernism. See less
