A 1980s abstract mixed media painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Titled "Garden Plot," this vibrant work depicts manicured trees flanking steps in a formal garden with fence and mountains in the distance. Unframed, the painting is signed and dated to the lower right corner and titled to the lower left corner, as well as to the verso.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-2000. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, and more. His studios could be found in New York, Los Angeles, and Aspen.
