I bought it a few years ago and it has sat in my office this whole time. I bought it thinking it was perhaps bermuda but after doing more research and talking to other dealers and collectors, I have come to the conclusion that I have no idea where this painting is. The different people I have shown it to have said everything from st augustine florida to st tropez to other locations including the caribbean. I would love to hear anyone else's opinion of where they think it is. I think eventually, as a group we might be able to figure it out. . This is really a wonderful tropical landscape with what looks like a big white wall surrounding a property with a water tower in the distance. Wonderful composition of what looks like oil on panel measuring 9 1/2 x 12 inches. Not signed or any marks that help in identifying where this is from or who did it. Based on the style and the original frame I would date it to the first quarter of the 20th century. Painting is in excellent clean as painted condition. It had broken glass when I bought it so it has been protected by glass for decades. Original frame is fine but a good new frame would really make this an outstanding work. Frame measures 10 3/4 x 13 1/4 inches. See less
