Beautiful vitrified ceramic vase, entirely hand-molded on a lathe, glazed with heavy glazes, hand-decorated and acid-etched, signed under the base with the artist's initials "EP," an acronym for Sardinian ceramist Emilia Palomba, dating from between 1960 and 1980. This vase, entirely hand-molded by the artist, has a very distinctive shape, with the central part of the belly curving inward on all four sides. It features raised decorations and is finished with heavy glazes ranging from orange to yellow, with even hints of green, colors that blend together thanks to a very unique and complex acid-etching process. Another noteworthy detail is that the vase is truly large and heavy, with a rather thick ceramic biscuit.
