A fabulous pair of glazed and vitrified cast ceramic bookends (ceramic with added kaolin, also known as soft porcelain), entirely airbrushed, depicting a pair of Scotch Terriers decorated in the classic bright orange that was particularly popular during the Art Deco period. Made by Ida Meisinger around 1930 for the famous Austrian manufacturer Goldscheider, they are numbered and signed under the base.
