An extremely rare English glazed earthenware jug, decorated entirely in bas-relief, signed under the base with a signature incised into the ceramic, executed with a metal stamp, "Doulton Lambeth," dating to around the mid-19th century. Made in full Victorian style by the Royal Doulton factory. The meticulous bas-relief decoration, which covers almost the entire jug, is truly beautiful and lavish, executed in full Victorian style with thick, compact enamels in the style of Minton or George Jones. The glaze on the earthenware is also very rich and particularly lustrous, making it of great value. The patina covering the object is excellent, especially under the base, which confirms our dating.
