The globular form is divided into vertical panels bordered with cobalt blue scrolling motifs, enclosing delicately painted birds, flowering branches, and stylised garden elements in the famille verte tradition.

The soft celadon-toned ground contrasts beautifully with the vibrant enamel colours, while the gilt-metal mounted rim adds a subtle touch of refinement. Such decorative wares reflect the enduring European fascination with East Asian porcelain during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
