An antique solid wood carved corinthian column out of a single tree log. Extremely heavy. The patina and color of the wood is absolutely beautiful. Exact species and origin of the wood column is unknown, but the carved details are outstanding. It probably once stood proud in a Victorian manor house with a matching partner.
As to be expected, there are some small chips, natural knots and other slight cracks along the grain in some areas, but these characteristics do not detract from the beauty of the column and only add to its authentic antique provenance. The column is still as structurally sound as the day it was carved. See photos as they are part of the condition description.
