Add American elegance to your decor with this lovely 1940s mahogany wall mirror made by Imperial Furniture in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This fine wall mirror has a scrolled pediment top and a center seashell motif that pays tribute to the classic Federal period with its neoclassical influences that defined American style towards the end of the 18th century.
The mahogany wood retains its original finish and has acquired a wonderful patina. The frame is in excellent, solid condition with normal wear from age and use and the mirror shows minor surface hazing that does not detract from its character. The original wood backing is sturdy and stable and remarkably the original color marking of the company is still visible. This piece is ready for display and would certainly look splendid above a console table.
