Tulio de Sagastizabal was born in Misiones, Argentina in 1948. He lives and works in Buenos Aires. He’s been active in the city’s art scene for over 30 years, and has represented Argentina at the IV Biennial of La Habana, in 1991 and at the I Biennial of Porto Alegre, in 1997. According to the artist, even though the entire undertaking of his work may seem to reflect bridled intuitions and purposes, he never feels absolute control over the images that come out and take shape in this way; he never fully grasps what they demand or require of him.

This is a professionally framed limited-edition print, purchased in Chelsea from a gallery. The print has been well cared for and remains vibrant, with color that closely matches the artist’s official gallery images—rich, saturated, and visually striking.

Condition:
The front of the work and frame present very well. The paper backing on the reverse shows some tearing from storage, visible in photos, but this does not affect the artwork itself or its display.
