A naturally worn Persian doroksh rug with a traditional pallete in navy orange and ivory colors from the early 20th century,
circa 1910, measures: 8'6" x 11'1"
Dorokhsh carpets are made with a finer atypical asymmetric knot. The foundation on the antiques is mostly wool but on 20th century rugs cotton warps and wefts are most common. They usually come with spacious and formal motifs making them highly decorative.
