A remarkable Tabriz rug woven by Hadji Jalili workshop in the city of Tabriz. Predominant colors in salmon orange cream and blues the weave, craftsmanship and quality on the rug is superfine. For the rug Connoisseur, circa 1880s.

The name of the master weaver, Hadji Jallili, lives on as perhaps the single most important creator of unique Court design Persian antique carpets of the 19th century. He was known make the finest Persian antique carpets in the “Golden Age of Persian Weaving” which occurred in the 19th century. He was also a student of Sufi philosophy, and his antique Persian carpets are known to have a deeply penetrating and contemplative impact on the viewer.
Although extremely difficult to procure because of their limited production and great demand, a small number of these carpets can still be found in area scatter, room sizes and occasionally in majestic oversizes. Fortunately, the workshop achieved its goal in producing a legacy of memorable art works, whose lasting qualities have left us with this small quantity of precious masterworks to enjoy. They still make for sought out after collectible and decorative type of rugs with todays decor. They can also be used as wall hangings too especially the ones with cypress tree, prayer niche, pictorial and animal motifs.
