A Very Nice Antique Folk Art Pennsylvania Redware Mug, Circa 1850s'
Most likely made in Pennsylvania circa 1830-1850's
Found in Lancaster County, PA
Super nice early to mid 19th century PA red ware mug. Nicely executed applied handle. Some light brown speck manganese decoration with in the glaze/clay.
Size: 5" across with handle, 4" across, 3" tall.
Condition: No cracks that we have seen. Typical use and wear marks associated with age and use. Some minor glaze loss on the top rim, typical of age and use. Estate soiling in the centre.
