Created by Judson Rothschild for The Rothschild Collection - "Josephine" 1996 © an Italian neoclassic style carved wall wood-applique manufactured out of American Walnut, in the form of a classical urn with scrolled handles and foliate boss finial, issuing sprays of iron branches with parcel-gilt and silvered-metal leaves suspending fruiting pomegranates with hand-rubbed finish.
As a designer, this is absolutely one of my favorite pieces. Many of us have this misconception that Art is the only thing we can put on walls. Not true. The mixture of the metal and the wood bring this incredible element to life. It should be lit like the Incredible pieces of Art they are!
"Josephine" was an incredible woman, she had strength and beauty, thus these pieces were created.
"Josephine" is proudly MADE IN THE USA.
