Item :
A magnificent two-handled amphora vase in sommerso blown Murano glass, acid-treated and finished with a metallic luster. The handles are made of small, hot-applied amber glass beads. It is unsigned but, in our opinion, attributed to Alfredo Barbini, a renowned Murano artist, dating to the second half of the 20th century. There is a red sticker indicating that it is a Murano vase, and a second, very old sticker under the base identifies the shop that formerly sold the item. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
