This very colourful hand painted pottery dish by Gien of France is decorated with a central faux armorial flanked by mythical creatures, above which are a merman and a mermaid. The outer edge is decorated with a continuous run of leaves in autumnal colours with the rim finished in black.
Date: 1875
Dimensions. Diameter: 25 cm (9,8 in)
Condition: Good antique condition, no chips, damage or repairs, there are small cracks in the glaze due to age. (The photos are also part of the so please take a good look)
