The deeply molded frame is enriched with applied gilt bosses and flanked by scrolling foliate brackets, terminating in a stylized shell and pendant drop below. The eagle’s head and wings are finely detailed, conveying movement and authority, and serve as a dramatic crest above the mirror plate. The frame retains a warm, aged gilded surface with appropriate wear, lending depth and character to the carving. The convex mirror plate enhances reflected light and spatial depth, making this piece both decorative and functional.
