Antique 17th-century carved and gilded Italian frame from Bologna in good condition. Rectangular in shape, it is an antique frame suitable for a painting or mirror. The frame was regilded with pure gold leaf in 1800, and the back rabbet was increased to accommodate a larger painting. The back also features an old stamp from a Bolognese palace. Ideal for a mirror that can be oriented either horizontally or vertically, or as a frame for a painting.
