A striking decorative piece where naturalistic motifs are combined with a bold color palette characteristic of the interwar period. Ipsens Enke, founded in 1843 in Copenhagen by Louise Ipsen, was one of Denmark’s leading ceramic manufactories in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The factory became known for its reliefs, classicist and naturalistic motifs, and a wide range of glazes often inspired by the forms of antiquity and contemporary international trends.
