Rare Find!
This beautiful armchair dates back to the late 19th-early 20th C. Featured intricate ornate carvings brass details along the seated trim, leather strip under the brass accents. Truly one-of-a-kind statement piece.
This chair combines design characteristics of the Baroque and Renaissance Revival Styles, with influences from Queen Anne and Louis XIII furniture. These chairs were popular in the Victorian era known as "art furniture". This piece is extensively hand-carved, noting the cherub knees, claw feet and elaborate scrollwork and an acanthus leaf motifs.
the seat has been re-upholstered with a bran new cowhide, seat is on solid wood and comes out completely. Arm chair height is 28” from elbows and curves into 27” for comfort. Chair is still solid today!
